Woven Traces
“Woven Traces” is a visual diary carried by natural fibres.
Within the intersections of warp and weft, colours retain rhythm, breath, and the passage of time—holding the warmth of materials sourced from China, Thailand, and Laos, as well as my bodily experience of moving between cultures.
Each woven piece becomes a quiet fragment of time: stretched, folded, or gently paused. Emerging from artisan communities, dye houses, and lived environments, these colours return as a landscape that is both personal and shared.
To honour the presence of the fibres, I hand-built and hand-painted each wooden frame, allowing the cloth and its vessel to rest within the same breath.
