Weaving Glimpse is a series of woven impressions-moments shaped by breath, tension, and intuition. I weave the way I imagine t h e
Impressionists painted: with movement, immediacy, and a sensitivity to fleeting emotion.
The shuttle becomes my b r u s h, the silk-filled bobbin my p i g m e n t, and the cotton warp my c a n v a s . Each piece responds t o subtle encounters-with light, with memory, with the quiet energy of natural materials. Inspired by things like the return of tides, the hush of green leaves, the flicker of a flame and memory of a festive offering, these works seek n o t
to declare meaning, but to suggest presence. I arrange the warp with intention, using neighboring colors that hum or clash, always
seeking tension over harmony. I want the cloth to vibrate—to draw the viewer closer, to shimmer with something felt but not fully named. In this space between structure and softness, weaving becomes not just making, but remembering, sensing, and translating inner states into tactile form.
